Listed Building Project

A distinctive refurbishment of listed disused farm building on a heritage site for the creation of rural offices. All in keeping with the ancient monument and the exceptional Old Hall and Church which are in close proximity.

A completely new building was created by utilising the existing boundary wall. The new structure encompasses reclaimed materials and slates in keeping with the adjoining building and the original details, and the method of construction was carefully duplicated. Especially with regards to the English Green Oak Beams.

The whole site has a large, enclosed courtyard and is in keeping with the attached ancient monument. A transformation of this row of buildings has left the client the opportunity to let in a configuration of 2 units or alternatively as much as five units. The construction not only included re-roofing but increasing the height of the end unit to give maximum letting space.

The units comprise of kitchenettes, toilet facilities including disabled, wooden staircases and friendly rustic accommodation. A complete re-roof and new rounded piers to create the old coaching type entrance utilising reclaimed bricks. The accommodation comprises of a large open office space, kitchenette, and separate toilet facility with an adjoining secure office.
